Margaret Rolfe is a Canadian visual artist best known for her whimsical pastiches of famous paintings commissioned for a veterinary hospital.

She was born in Whitehorse, Yukon, and lived in Alberta and Manitoba as a child. She eventually settled on Vancouver Island, off the southwest coast of British Columbia, where she has lived for the last 33 years.

Margaret attended the Emily Carr University of Art and Design before becoming a business owner and raising a family. Inspiration for her work comes from the beauty and diversity of both the natural world and of the human form.

my story

Art has always been a part of my life in one way or another.  Starting with crayons on the wall, acrylic painting, mixed media, ceramic sculpture, digital painting and back again to acrylic painting and painting on walls and fences. Eventually I suppose, crayons will once again feature prominently.
